King Harald V passed away on 28 August 2026. Norway has lost a unifying figure – a warm, wise and approachable King who stood by his people throughout a long life.
For decades, NTB’s photographers have documented King Harald’s life. We have followed him on official state visits, in meetings with everyday heroes, at sports arenas and in quiet moments with his family.
